MHSN Walk Down Memory Lane #2 October 15, 2020
We were assigned our first patients on October 15, 1969, 51 years ago today. Does anyone have any stories they wish to share about their experience caring for their first assigned patient on the nursing units?
By now we had been in nursing for one month and were adapting to living in residence. Who remembers how many pages of “Guidelines” we were given for our conduct as student nurses?
Here are the guidelines for those, likely most, of us who may not remember all the details.
And who remembers the “Overnight Permit” slip we had to sign when leaving for a week-end away from residence?
We are in the PROCESS of developing a website for our reunion and hope to have it active by early 2021. For now you can go to http://mhsn1972.com and see the entry page which is a countdown of the days remaining to the reunion and the class photo taken in the fall of 1969. When the website is active, we will let you know. Among other things we will post the names of everyone in the entry page photo. In the meantime see how many you can get correct!
20 Months until 50th Reunion in June 2022. To date we have 37 of 56 classmates planning to attend provided all goes well Registration and program details will be provided late 2021 early 2022.
