After many months of planning and uncertainty due to Covid-19 we created a Reunion Bubble and hosted all our activities at the Rodd Inn. The various reunion activities were ably managed by our Class President Joanne Logan Simpson who served as Master of Ceremonies or as she preferred to call it “Manager of Chaos”. As 50 year graduates we were granted Honourary Membership to the MHSN Alumnae
Joanne Albert Belliveau and Marlene Myers Hill kept us entertained beginning their day by spilling tea in their room continuing the morning with knocking out the screen door to a room, and being surprised by the arrival of Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation 24 hours early to receive the class donation to the Oncology Unit. Joanne insisted that her photos with the cheque were not photogenic enough and coerced Gail into having another picture done. Regardless of who presented the cheque, our class donated $1050.00 with $500.00 of that being given anonymously by one of our generous classmates.
Sunday was a busy day beginning with an early morning walk followed by a slide presentation of “The Moncton Hospital 2022” by Marilyn Babineau – Class of 1975, and a discussion of the Moncton Alumnae Quilt by Laura McNeish Whitmee – Class of 1970. The morning was rounded off with a Coffee, Conversation and Cookies hosted by Gerry Norman. After lunch we had a wine tasting led by Linda Tower Price with a variety of red and white wines presented by various classmates. At our evening banquet we had a beautiful Remembrance Service for our fallen classmates (for which a special section has been created on this site) and a slide presentation Nursing Narratives Post 1972 with recent pictures and updates from 44 classmates.
