February 2022 Update on Reunion Plans

The Reunion Committee met last evening (February 16^th) to consider how to proceed with planning. Thankfully the situation regarding Covid continues to improve and lifting of restrictions is on the horizon in NB and elsewhere. We had a robust discussion and decided that we will go ahead with our original dates. We based this decision on: (i) costs associated with cancellation, (ii) the significant planning that has been done and (iii) the 19 classmates who have registered. We have changed the Registration Date from February 22^nd to March 31st.

Even though the provincial restrictions will likely be over by June, we also decided to make changes to the optional events so that all reunion events will be hosted at the hotel. This will minimize numbers of contacts and hopefully increase everyone’s feeling of safety. We are meeting again next month to develop a plan for those events and will keep you posted.

The Hotel cut-off date for Room Bookings remains May 11^th. If you are planning on staying at the hotel for any part of the reunion we ask that you make your reservation as soon as you make a decision about attending the reunion. If sufficient hotel nights are booked, the reception and banquet room (Parkhouse Room) is free. Otherwise, there is a charge attached to the Parkhouse Room. The sooner we know the actual room nights planned the sooner we can ask the hotel what modifications, if any, we can make to the contract which will influence adjustments we may need to make to our budget.
